Journalists at the German public service news program Tagesschau are not hesitant about calling North Korean leader Kim Jong-un a „dictator“. But I’m surprised that they always call Abbas the „Palestinian President“, when it should be „so-called Palestinian president“.
Presumably, a few journalists are simply revealing their sympathies and prejudices.
I have a question: when exactly was Abbas elected president and for how long?
And while we’re at it, Sigmar Gabriel calls Abbas his „friend“ and Mr. Gabriel was once the German Foreign Minister, and not just „so-called“.
