4 hours, 38 minutes

In the Swedish city of Östersund the police are warning women not to go out alone after dark in order to avoid a „wave of violence against women“.

„We don’t want to sit here for another week and have more crime victims on our desk“, fears the police. However, instead of combating massive misogyny, the police are asking women not to go out unaccompanied after dark in Östersund.

On December 21, 2016, the sun will rise at 9:40 am and set at 2:18 pm in Östersund. So, for merely four hours and 38 minutes women will be relatively safe. For the remaining 19 hours and 22 minutes local police advise women not to go out unaccompanied. The Östersund police treat women to a mere 4 hours, 38 minutes worth of basic human rights for the day. But, that’s 4 hours and 38 minutes more than in Saudi Arabia. Congratulations, Sweden!

The attitude of Swedish police certainly obliges the wet dreams of this misogynistic imam in Berlin, Germany. On January 23, 2015, he held the following sermon concerning the status of women:

“A women must not step out of the home without her husband’s permission, and under no circumstances is she allowed to sleep outside her husband’s home – not even at her father’s home – without her husband’s permission.”

“In addition, she must not take a job without her husband’s permission. A woman should be confined to the home and should dedicate her time and efforts to taking care of her children and her husband. She should cook, sweep the floor, tidy up the place, and take care of her husband, sons, and daughters.”

“Moreover, a woman is not allowed to refuse to sleep with her husband. She is not allowed to make excuses or use pretexts. A wife is not allowed to say “no,” under any pretext – not even during her period. Even when a woman has her period, there is nothing to prevent her husband from using her body for pleasure, so long as he avoids the vagina… She puts a loin cloth on her vagina, and he can go on enjoying her body.”

Despite the imam’s flowery language, Swedish police are issuing essentially the same statement.

The attitude of the Östersund police reminds me of the former Socialist mayor of Malmö, Ilmar Reepalu, who let Jewish citizens know that they could considerably weaken the hatred being directed at them if they would only distance themselves from Israel.

That’s Sweden: when women are raped and Jews persecuted, the mayor of Malmö and the police in Östersund demand that women and Jews change their behavior.

How do the police and the city mayor view these perpetrators? Are they immature creatures who lack functional understanding, predestined to behave like monsters? Apparently, because these criminals can’t be held accountable and even lack the capacity to reflect on their own actions, potential victims are being asked to change their behavior. The perpetrators are pictured not so much as humans who can be punished, but rather as a kind of natural force, a tidal wave, against which normal people must take precautionary measures. Such a view is, of course, pure racism!

In Sweden misogyny, antisemitism and racism join hands in a midsummer nightmare!

When a curfew for women was proposed during the seventies in Israel, the wonderful Prime Minister Golda Meir swept this ridiculous proposal from the table with these brilliant words:

„Men attack women, not the other way around. If there’s ever a curfew, then only for men, not for women!“
